EXHIBITION - K30

K30 was a temporary urban art exhibition that took place inside the abandoned AkzoNobel industrial complex in Stuttgart-Feuerbach shortly before the site was redeveloped. For a brief period, the former factory buildings were opened to artists and transformed into a large-scale, walkable exhibition space.

The project was conceived and organized by Studio Vierkant, who brought together around 70 artists to activate the site before its transformation. As part of the exhibition, Fillin Guas was invited to participate and, in turn, invited several artists from the Munich-based collective broke.today to become part of the project. Together, they contributed to a diverse program of murals, installations, graffiti, and site-specific interventions.

For K30, Fillin Guas created works that responded directly to the architecture and history of the location. The project embraced the temporary nature of the space, using walls, surfaces, and traces of industrial production as a foundation for artistic intervention. Within the raw and unfinished environment, his characteristic language of tags, lettering, and layered forms became part of the building itself, creating a dialogue between urban expression and industrial heritage.

K30 was less a conventional exhibition than a moment in time. Existing only for a few weeks before the site’s redevelopment, the project explored themes of transformation, impermanence, and the changing identity of urban spaces. By activating a place on the verge of disappearance, the exhibition demonstrated how art can temporarily reclaim forgotten architecture and create new narratives before they vanish.
