WHAT I WOULD SAY
ABOUT MY ART.

I used to be a designer.
Today I’m an artist.
At least that’s what it says on my website now.

Most of my work captures short moments – something that appears in the chaos of the city and disappears just as quickly.
I like tags, graffiti, abandoned places, and all those little visual accidents that happen when nobody is trying to make something particularly beautiful. That’s usually where it gets interesting.

My style? Fast, impulsive, and sometimes a bit overenthusiastic.
Somewhere between focused work and complete loss of control.
Mostly black and white.
Not because I don’t like color, but because black and white rarely start arguing.

I usually make art in between other things – projects, deadlines, emails, tax returns, and the usual existential crises.
Art is both escape and focus at the same time.

Ever since I started tagging, I haven’t really been able to let go of words.
Letters are probably one of the most fascinating things humans have ever invented.
With just a few characters you can start wars, write love letters, or create entire realities.
That’s why a lot of my work revolves around language – or what happens between it.

I try to create images without actually painting in a traditional way.
My work ends up on canvases, walls, sculptures, cars, glass surfaces, and anything that stands still long enough.

I especially like working on glass.
Not entirely sure why. Probably because it’s unnecessarily complicated. (INK ON GLASS)

Some pieces are done in a few minutes.
Others are reworked for weeks, painted over, and discarded again.
Until they feel right.
Or until I give up.
The difference is sometimes hard to tell.

The works I’m actually proud of usually end up in exhibitions and galleries.
And with a bit of luck, something might eventually end up in a museum – before I die.
Though if not, that’s probably fine too.

And then there’s this other thing:
Besides that, I also work as a curator.
Sounds more important than it sometimes is, but at its core it means:
I bring people, ideas, and spaces together and pretend it’s all part of one big, well-planned concept.
Most of the time it actually works.
I curate exhibitions, projects, and sometimes just the chaos around me.

I try to put the right people in the right places at the right time.
The locations are usually anything but normal – more like places that have definitely seen better days.
Lost places have a certain charm, probably because they’re at least honest.

What I’m really trying to do is get people excited about art.
Not the polite “oh, interesting” kind of excited, but more like a “wait a second… this is actually pretty good” moment.
If that happens, it’s a good day.

WHAT OTHERS SAY
ABOUT HIS ART.

Fillin Guas is a contemporary artist, street artist, mural artist, and curator based in Munich, Germany. Emerging from the graffiti movement, he has developed a distinctive visual language that bridges urban art, contemporary art, abstract painting, and large-scale spatial interventions.

His work is recognized for its characteristic black-and-white compositions built from repetitive tags, lettering, and calligraphic structures. Drawing inspiration from the visual codes of graffiti, Fillin Guas transforms written language into rhythm, texture, and atmosphere. His artworks explore movement, speed, perception, and the traces left behind by urban life, resulting in pieces that exist between street culture and contemporary fine art.

Working across multiple mediums, Fillin Guas creates paintings, glass works, installations, sculptures, site-specific interventions, vehicle artworks, and large-scale murals. His practice extends beyond the canvas into architecture and public space, creating immersive visual experiences that engage audiences on both aesthetic and conceptual levels.

In addition to his artistic practice, Fillin Guas is the founder of the Munich-based artist collective Broke.Today. Together with an international network of artists, musicians, performers, and creatives, he develops exhibitions, cultural spaces, urban art projects, and interdisciplinary art experiences. The collective has curated numerous exhibitions and temporary cultural venues, collaborating with hundreds of artists and attracting tens of thousands of visitors over the years.

As a curator, Fillin Guas specializes in projects that connect street art, contemporary art, installation, performance, and public engagement. His exhibitions often transform unconventional spaces into immersive cultural environments, creating dialogue between artists, audiences, brands, and institutions.

Fillin Guas also collaborates with leading companies, brands, developers, and cultural institutions on commissioned artworks, corporate art programs, public art projects, and large-scale murals. His portfolio includes creative collaborations with BMW and other international partners, combining contemporary art with architecture, design, and brand storytelling. For BMW, he created a large-scale artistic interpretation of the BMW M5, merging automotive design, installation art, and urban culture.

Together with his team, he develops custom murals, facade artworks, office art concepts, hotel installations, retail environments, and site-specific creative projects. Whether abstract, typographic, urban, or highly customized visual styles, each project is tailored to its environment and audience.

His artworks are collected by private collectors, exhibited in galleries, and sought after by companies looking for unique artistic collaborations. Positioned at the intersection of graffiti, street art, urban contemporary art, and conceptual practice, Fillin Guas represents a new generation of artists transforming the visual language of the city into contemporary cultural experiences.

Available for exhibitions, gallery representation, art commissions, murals, public art projects, corporate collaborations, curatorial projects, and international creative partnerships.
